"Martin Luther King" is a political drama set in a rural area with a unique and divergent plot. The story revolves around Paschimapadu, a village with two different regions inhabited by two castes. The presidential race is intensifying as Jaggu and Loki declare their candidacies and vigorously campaign. Both candidates are receiving equal support, but the vote of a cobbler will ultimately decide the winner. Martin Luther King, portrayed by Sampoornesh Babu, is an orphan who makes his living skillfully crafting sandals under a large tree in the village. He is a talented artisan and has honed his skills over the years. Bata, another orphan, accompanies him in his work. One day, a new post office employee named Vasantha, played by Saranya, arrives from the nearby town in the village. She befriends Martin Luther King and helps him open a bank account and obtain a voter card. This marks a significant turning point in Martin Luther King's life as he now has the power to vote and make his voice heard.


It emphasizes the importance of voting, as Martin Luther King's story stands as a testament to the immense power of democracy and the immeasurable value of exercising one's right to vote. The movie portrays the political climate in rural communities with bravery and unwavering conviction.


The film is a Telugu version of the critically acclaimed 2021 Tamil movie Mandela, directed by Ashwin Madonne. Sampoornesh Babu unleashed his different dimension with this film. VK Naresh and Venkatesh Maha are just funtastic. Venkatesh Maha also provided the screenplay. Smaran Sai's music is top-notch. Puja Kolluru edited and directed the movie.
